BYU overcomes UC Davis

Davis, CA - BYU overcame UC Davis Women on a wet and mixed weather condition at Dairy Field Saturday. 5 minutes after kickoff, BYU strings a couple BYU of phases together, and makes it into the tryzone through Grubb. Converisions were not possible because of lack of field posts on this field. Davis 0 BYU 5.

A few minutes later, Clinnick took of on the short side and scored. BYU striuggled to adjust to referee and gave away some penalties. After a forced turnover, BYU scored again, through Vice Captain, No. 8 Taito. Taito had a grand day at flank and led the team on defense and offense. She was well supported by Captain Nicole McCullough who operated at scrumhalf for the Cougars.

UC Davis had their moments as they were able to capitalise on BYU mistakes, and scored two tries, one in each half.

BYU was able to put the game away through Tenney, Hinckley, and Hebdon. Overall it was a good first game for the Cougars, as they look forward to the rest of the season.
